Equations come through as real LaTeX and tables keep their rows and columns, so answers quote formulas and figures exactly. Read from the author’s LaTeX source when it exists, or with layout-aware reading.

On day 14 it moves to Free unless you choose a plan, and your first 3 papers stay visible. Upgrade any time and everything comes back.

If your assistant reaches its monthly question limit (50 on Free), it politely tells visitors it will be back next month, and we let you know in case you’d like to move up a plan. There are no surprise charges, and a Free assistant never expires. Paper and page limits are checked as papers are added, so you’ll know before anything goes live.
Text-based PDFs work best: papers, preprints, theses, reports, protocols. Scanned PDFs need text recognition first, and other formats such as Word documents can be added by arrangement.
Usually the accepted manuscript or an open-access version is the right file to use, and most publishers say which versions you may share. On plans we set up for you, we check what each publisher allows before anything goes live.
They are grounded in your documents and cite the pages they drew on, which makes them easy to check. Like any language model, it can still misread a passage, so treat answers as a fast way into the source, not a replacement for it.
It says it can’t find the answer in them. It doesn’t fall back on general knowledge.

Start free and your assistant is live in about five minutes. If we set it up for you, Researcher and Lab assistants are ready within a week of receiving your documents. Institution projects are scheduled with you.
Your assistant moves to Free unless you choose a plan. Your first 3 papers stay visible; the others are hidden for 30 days, then deleted. Free never expires, and upgrading within those 30 days brings every paper back.
Yes. Send new documents whenever you like; we add them within a few working days, up to your plan’s limit.
Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the month you’ve paid for. Annual plans get a full refund within 14 days of starting, then run to the end of the paid year. You can cancel from your account page; the link is in your billing emails. Your assistant then moves to Free rather than disappearing.
The Free plan costs nothing and never expires, and the Researcher plan is priced for individual academics. If cost is the only thing in the way, email us.
