[A] Ask My Papers · from Tasman Intelligence Lab

Ask your papers.
See where every answer comes from.[1]

A private assistant that understands your publications and answers in plain language, drawing only on what they say. Your work never trains AI.

  1. Each answer lists the papers it drew on and the PDF pages it read, linked to the publisher. Your papers are never used to train any AI model, and you can delete everything at any time.

Try it on a few published papers[3]

Draw any insight from these papers with the demo assistant: Lassa virus · 2024: Modelling Lassa virus dynamics in West African Mastomys natalensis and the impact of human activities Travel and disease spread · 2024: High connectivity and human movement limits the impact of travel time on infectious disease transmission Coronavirus hotspots · 2023: Using drivers and transmission pathways to identify SARS-like coronavirus spillover risk hotspots Bat hosts · 2022: Present and future distribution of bat hosts of sarbecoviruses: implications for conservation and public health Ebola in primates · 2022: Transmission models indicate Ebola virus persistence in non-human primate populations is unlikely Land use and disease · 2025: Land use change and infectious disease emergence

It answers only from these papers and links each source. Ask something they don’t cover and it says so. Please don’t type personal information. How your questions are handled

  1. Median answer time was about 1.5 seconds across 12 test questions on 27 September 2026.

Reading is the bottleneck

A busy research group adds dozens of papers, reports and drafts every year. The answer you need is in there somewhere, but keyword search finds words, not answers, and general chatbots will happily invent a reference that looks real.[2]

Ask My Papers only works from the documents you give it. When the answer isn’t in them, it says so.

  1. Walters, W. H. & Wilder, E. I. (2023). Fabrication and errors in the bibliographic citations generated by ChatGPT. Scientific Reports 13, 14045. doi:10.1038/s41598-023-41032-5

Three steps, about five minutes

  1. [1]

    Add your papers

Sign in with ORCID or email, then pick papers from your ORCID record, paste a DOI or arXiv link, or upload a PDF. Text PDFs work best.

  2. [2]

    We read and map them

Each paper is broken into passages and mapped by meaning, so a question finds the right passage even in different words. Every answer names the paper and page it drew on.

  3. [3]

    Put it to work

Embed the assistant on your lab or personal website, or share a private link with your group.

Put it where people already look for you

Every plan comes with a private kit: ready-made ways to share your assistant, each one copy and paste. Type your name to see yours.

Questions people ask first

Are my documents used to train AI models?

No. Your documents are used only to answer your questions. They are not used to train our models or anyone else’s.

Where is my data kept?

Documents and the search index are stored on Cloudflare’s infrastructure. Answers are written by a leading language model hosted in the United States, with back-up models on Cloudflare. It sees only the question and the few passages needed to answer it. Institution plans can run entirely inside your own cloud.

What if the answer isn’t in my papers?

It tells you it can’t find the answer in your documents. It won’t fill the gap with a guess.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time, and we delete your documents and index within 30 days.
